About this event

Alivio Tourist Park — Black Mountain Climb & Crit is a round of the 2026 Alivio Tourist Park Road Series, taking place in Canberra on Sunday, 13 December 2026.

Jointly run by Canberra’s road cycling clubs, the event combines two classic road-racing formats: a testing climb up Black Mountain followed by a fast-paced criterium. The hill climb rewards sustained effort and climbing ability, while the criterium brings close-quarters racing, repeated accelerations and tactical competition on a short circuit.

As part of the road series, the event offers a competitive day for road cyclists and contributes to the broader season of racing in the Canberra region. Participants and spectators can expect a lively cycling atmosphere, with the contrasting formats showcasing both individual power and pack-racing skills.
