The Sunset Coast Marathon and Run Festival brings runners and walkers together for a spring event on Perth’s northern coast, with distances suited to a wide range of abilities. It features a beachside setting in Joondalup and a mix of road race options from short fun runs through to a full marathon.
Participants can choose from a 2km run/walk, 5km, 10km, half marathon, 32km and marathon distance, with race formats designed to suit both recreational entrants and more experienced runners. The event is staged at Mullaloo Beach, and the early starts for the longer distances make the most of cooler morning conditions.
Organisers describe the festival as a chance to celebrate the milder weather and enjoy a coastal course, with the event expected to attract a strong field across all distances. Finishers receive medals, adding a celebratory touch for runners of every level.
