About this event
The Santa Slay by Pit Viper returns to Jindabyne on Friday 4 December 2026 for a festive-season evening of gravity mountain-bike racing, shuttles and lakeside food. Hosted by Jindabyne Cycling Club in partnership with Jindabyne Trail Stewardship and Pit Viper, the event is designed for kids and youth and takes place across the Lake Jindabyne Trail Reserve trails.
Registration begins from 4.30pm at the Rainbow Drive car park in Tyrolean Village, followed by a rider briefing at 4.45pm. Shuttles and timed racing commence at 5pm, with volunteer guides and marshals helping riders move between the designated trails. Shuttles finish at approximately 7pm, followed by presentations.
Riders compete in age-based categories, including a new youth category for 2026. Each age group races on its own trail, providing an age-appropriate challenge and helping create clearer, more consistent runs. Additional four-wheel-drive shuttles are available for youth and older riders between the Mill Creek Trail and Tyrolean Trig.
The all-inclusive entry includes shuttle transport, timed racing, volunteer race support, an evening barbecue by Lake Jindabyne and lollies. The barbecue is expected to run from about 6pm and continue during the presentations.
