About this event

The Two Bays Trail Run is a challenging trail running event across Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, following the Two Bays Trail between Dromana and Cape Schanck. The 2027 event is planned for Sunday 17 January, with a fallback date of Sunday 24 January if it cannot proceed on the scheduled day.

Runners can choose between a 28km course from Dromana to Cape Schanck and a 56km ultra course that runs from Cape Schanck to Dromana and back again. The course is marked as a certified trail route and is known for its varied terrain, including steep climbs and sweeping coastal views.

The event is expected to start early in the morning, with the 28km race commencing from Dromana and the 56km race from Cape Schanck. The organisers have also indicated a field limit for the 2027 event, and race number collection is planned for the day before as well as on race morning.

This run is suited to experienced trail runners looking for a scenic but demanding course through bushland, ridgelines and coastal landscapes on one of Victoria’s most iconic peninsula routes.
