The UTA 22 on 15 May 2026 offers a challenging yet enjoyable 22km trail running experience through the stunning Blue Mountains, perfect for both newcomers and seasoned runners seeking a taste of ultra-distance running.
Starting at Queen Victoria Hospital, the course follows the latter half of the Ultra-Trail Australia 50km route, showcasing iconic landmarks such as the Golden Stairs, Federal Pass, Three Sisters, Leura Cascades, Elysian Rock, and the Prince Henry Cliff Walk. The route culminates with a climb up the Furber Steps, finishing at Scenic World.
This loop course features approximately 1200m of elevation gain and combines breathtaking natural beauty with a rewarding physical challenge. As part of the UTMB World Series, finishers will earn valuable running stones, making it an ideal event for those entering the trail running community or wanting to experience the highlights of the UTA without committing to longer distances.
