Activity Details

Calling all Runners in the Footscray area who are into Recycling and clean streets/parks. Here's a group that gets together every month to go for a run (around 4 to 5km) and collect rubbish while we go!

Think of all the health benefits of all those lunges while you run, and a clean suburb to boot!

We also have a walking group for those who would prefer to take their time.

We meet at Rudimentary Cafe in Footscray each month and run different routes in the Footscray area - coming back for a coffee and chat at the end.

Gloves and bags will be supplied.

It's not as mad as it sounds - I did a bit of internet searching and it turns out it's a fitness craze in Sweden called 'plogging'...

The Rubbish Runners are supported by Clean Up Australia and Maribyrnong City Council.
