Activity Details

Central Coast Dragon Boat Club offers both social and competitive dragon boat racing for paddlers of all levels. Whether you're looking to join a fun community activity or pursue competitive racing, we welcome new members to our training sessions.

Training Schedule:

  • New Paddlers: Sunday 07:00 (arrive 06:45)
  • Sports Team: Sunday 08:00 (arrive 07:45), Wednesday 18:00 (arrive 17:45), Friday 18:00 (arrive 17:45)

Training takes place year-round next to the Marine Rescue base on Peel Street, Toukley, with intensified sessions during the racing season from July to September.

What to Expect: Each training session includes safety briefings, paddling technique instruction, on-land drills, warm-up exercises, approximately 1-1.5 hours of water training, and cool-down routines. All paddles are provided by the club.

Requirements: Participants must be able to swim at least 50 metres and have average fitness. Simply bring shorts, a light shirt, hat, aqua shoes, sunscreen, water, and a towel. Be prepared to get wet!

Arrive 15 minutes early to sign on and prepare for your session. Ample parking is available at the venue.
