Activity Details
Valley Hockey Club is one of Australia's oldest and largest field hockey clubs, established in 1921. The club welcomes players of all abilities and offers programs for men, women, and juniors across multiple age groups and skill levels.
- Junior Programs: Junior Grass teams for players aged 7 to 17 years, and Junior Turf teams for players aged 13 to 18 years
- Senior Programs: Senior Turf and Senior Grass teams for competitive play
- Masters Programs: Masters teams for players over 35 years old, with veteran competition available for players over 40 years old
The club operates training and competition across multiple venues. Grass matches and training take place at Shaw Road in Kalinga, while turf teams train on the synthetic field at Chermside. Players of all abilities are encouraged to join, with the club providing registration guidance and support for new members. Valley Hockey Club is affiliated with Hockey Queensland and Hockey Australia.
