About the programme
DHA Tennis Academy runs Hot Shots group lessons for children aged 3–12 at Albion Tennis Club. Children learn with age-appropriate courts, lighter racquets and low-compression balls, with classes matched to their age and playing level.
The academy aims to build a community through tennis, helping children enjoy learning, get to know other players and develop teamwork and confidence.
What to expect
- Red Stage introduces tennis with oversized, low-bounce balls and smaller courts.
- Orange Stage develops longer rallies and serving on a larger court.
- Green Stage uses a full-size court and softer balls to develop technique, tactics and match play.
Lessons follow Victorian school terms. Bring a drink bottle and wear comfortable sports clothes and shoes; a hat and sunscreen are recommended in summer. Racquets can be borrowed for the first lesson.
How to join
Complete the online trial registration and select Albion as the preferred location. The academy will contact you to arrange a trial and a suitable class. Children joining after the start of term can enrol for the remaining lessons.
