Southern Peninsula Basketball Association (SPBA), home of the Sharks, is one of the largest sporting organisations on the Mornington Peninsula with close to 3000 members and 300+ teams. Established in 1967, we provide a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for basketball participation at all levels.

  1. Domestic Competition: Join 300+ social competition teams playing year-round across our 4 indoor facilities with 7 courts.
  2. Junior Development: Participate in Sharks Academy, a specialised development program for Under 10s to Under 20s featuring three tournaments annually and regular training sessions at Dromana and Rosebud Stadiums.
  3. Representative Teams: Aspiring players can progress to 30+ junior representative teams in the Victorian Junior Basketball League or compete in senior Big V competitions (Youth League Women, Youth League Men, Senior Women, and Senior Men).
  4. All-Abilities Sessions: 30+ regular participants enjoy inclusive basketball opportunities designed for everyone.
  5. Getting Started: New members can register for domestic competitions or try out for Sharks Academy development programs.
