Activity Details
Waverley Raiders Basketball Club is a junior domestic basketball club for boys and girls aged 6-18, welcoming beginners through to experienced players. The club has been committed to developing young basketball talent since 1983.
Training and Competition:
- Teams range from Under 8 to Under 19
- One-hour training sessions per week during the playing season, held Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings (6-7pm, 7-8pm, or 8-9pm)
- Saturday competition matches through the Melbourne East Basketball Association (MEBA), with younger age groups playing mornings from 8:00am and older groups in afternoons/evenings
- Mixed teams available for U9s, with separate boys and girls teams from U11-U19
Getting Started:
- Registration fee of $165 includes training venue hire, scoresheet fees for the first 2 rounds, registration, and insurance
- Family-oriented club run on a voluntary basis, emphasizing fun, skill development, and competitive play
