Donvale Tennis Club, located at 36-82 Mitcham Road, Donvale, Victoria, is a well-established tennis facility offering a friendly, healthy, and social environment for individuals and families to enjoy tennis. Founded in 1965, the club has grown to around 400 members spanning all ages and skill levels, from beginners to pennant-level competitors. The club features 10 courts in total: 6 en-tout-cas courts and 4 synthetic clay courts, with 8 courts equipped with lighting for night play.
The double-storey clubhouse includes a lounge, bar facilities, a fully equipped kitchen, showers, toilets, a junior games room, a sun deck, barbecue facilities, a practice wall, and ample parking away from the main road. Donvale Tennis Club offers a variety of social and competitive tennis programs, including junior and senior competitions, midweek ladies groups, veterans and masters competitions, and is affiliated with Tennis Victoria and the Blackburn & District Night Tennis Association.
Coaching is provided by high-performance coach Mark Hartnett from Pro Tennis Academy, offering programs such as Kinder Kidz, Hot Shots for children aged 5-12, junior group training, cardio tennis, elite squads, private lessons, and adult groups.
Membership options cater to individuals and families, with court bookings available for both members and visitors. The club emphasizes inclusivity, child safety, and community engagement within the Donvale Recreation Reserve.
