EXSS X-TRI Off Road Triathlon returns to Lake Leschenaultia in Chidlow on Saturday, 7 November 2026, offering a choice of off-road triathlon and duathlon events in the Perth Hills.

The long-course off-road triathlon features a 1 km swim, 20 km cycle and 6 km run. It is a Western Australia Triathlon State Championship event and a World Triathlon World Championship qualifying event. The long-course off-road duathlon consists of a 3 km run, 20 km cycle and 6 km run, and is an Australian Championship event as well as a World Triathlon World Championship qualifying event.

Short-course options are also available for participants seeking a more accessible introduction to off-road racing. The short-course triathlon includes a 500 m swim, 10 km cycle and 3 km run, while the short-course duathlon includes a 3 km run, 10 km cycle and 3 km run.

Set among the natural bushland surrounding Lake Leschenaultia, the event combines swimming, cycling and running on an off-road course. With championship racing and shorter participation options on the same program, EXSS X-TRI offers a challenging event for experienced competitors and an approachable starting point for newcomers to multisport.
