About this event

The Frankston Swim Classic is a friendly open-water bay swim held at Frankston Beach, near the iconic Frankston Pier and the Frankston Yacht Club. With three swim distances available, it welcomes participants looking to enjoy a relaxed bayside challenge, build summer fitness or take on a longer swim in a scenic coastal setting.

Swimmers can choose from:

400m – a short-distance option suited to newer open-water swimmers
1.2km – a mid-range swim for those seeking a longer challenge
2.5km – the longest course for experienced swimmers and distance enthusiasts

The courses start and finish on the beach in front of the Frankston Yacht Club, with swimmers completing an out-and-back or single-lap course depending on their chosen distance. The event offers a picturesque way to experience Frankston’s foreshore and enjoy a morning of swimming by the bay.
