About this event

The Grafton Jacaranda Running Festival is a colourful road-running event held during Grafton’s jacaranda season, with race day on Sunday 8 November 2026. It offers a friendly day out for runners and walkers of different abilities, with distances including a half marathon, 10km, 5km and a 2km Junior Dash.

Set in Grafton, New South Wales, the festival celebrates the city’s famous purple jacarandas and scenic river-town setting. Participants can run beneath blooming jacaranda canopies, cross the Grafton Bridge, and take in views around the Clarence River precinct.

The event is based around Memorial Park and includes race-weekend activity in the lead-up to Sunday, with bib collection and a shake-out run as part of the programme. The 2km Junior Dash includes an optional colour-run style finish, adding to the festival atmosphere.
