The Island Triathlon Festival takes place in Stockton, NSW, on Saturday, 31 January, and Sunday, 1 February 2026. This annual event celebrates swimming, cycling, and running in a scenic setting adjacent to the Stockton CBD, staged from the Newcastle Harbour Foreshore within a beautiful, flat, and fast park course.
On Sunday, participants can compete in Short, Sprint, and Standard triathlon distances, as well as Aquathlon (swim + run) and Aquabike (swim + bike) events. The festival also features the Stockton Sunrise Run on Saturday morning, offering 5K, 10.5K, and Half Marathon distances along a flat foreshore course.
