The Lonely Mountain Ultra returns on Saturday, 27 September 2025, hosted at Gaanha-bula Mount Canobolas, just outside Orange, NSW.
This premier trail running event offers a variety of distances to suit all levels, including 11km, 22km, and 32km trail runs, ultra marathon distances of 50km, 50 miles, 104km, and a challenging 100-mile race, plus kids' events.
Runners will experience a dramatic and scenic course through the heart of Canobolas State Forest, traversing fire trails, woodlands, and open pastures with stunning views. The 104km race features a demanding three-loop course combining the 50km, 32km, and 22km loops, with three ascents to the summit of the iconic Mount Canobolas.
The 100-mile race combines a 55km point-to-point section with three loops to the summit, totaling 161km and approximately 5,300 meters of elevation gain.
