About this event
The Mt Buller SkyRun is an alpine trail running event in Victoria’s High Country, set in and around Mt Buller Village and known as one of the closest alpine trail runs to Melbourne.
It offers a mix of distances suited to a range of runners, from a 5km scenic nature trail to the summit for newer trail runners, through to longer and tougher courses that showcase the rugged mountain terrain.
The 22km route is an introduction to alpine trail running, taking runners from Mt Buller out towards Mt Stirling and back. The 36km course adds a steep descent to the Delatite River before a demanding climb back to the summit. The 45km ultra includes Mt Stirling, Craig’s Hut, views over the Crosscut Saw and the Bluff, a scenic section along the Delatite River, and a punishing final ascent before a 2km descent to the finish.
Expect a challenging mountain run with big climbs, dramatic alpine scenery and a strong trail-running atmosphere.
