Run Army Townsville on Sunday, 19 April 2026, is a community-focused fundraising event offering 2.4km, 5km, and 10km fun run or walk options around Townsville.

The event begins at The Strand and features a scenic course passing historic landmarks such as Jezzine Barracks, Jezzine House, Townsville Customs House, and ANZAC Memorial Park, along with picturesque spots like Kissing Point Boardwalk and the Rockpools.

Participants of all fitness levels are invited to join current serving soldiers and First Responders from Queensland Police, Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Surf Life Saving, and SES in honoring the ANZAC spirit while supporting vital community services. Entrants can select a charity beneficiary, with $5 from each entry donated to the chosen service.

All participants in the 5km and 10km runs or walks will receive official timing, a complimentary event T-shirt, and a finisher’s medal. The event welcomes individual and group entries, and virtual participation is also available for those unable to attend in person.

Children in prams may participate free of charge (note: T-shirts and race bibs are only provided to registered participants).
