Spend a Saturday morning on the water at McCrae Yacht Club with a practical Start Windsurfing course designed for first-time windsurfers. This one-day Australian Sailing program introduces the essentials in a safe and supportive club environment on Port Phillip, with equipment provided by the accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Learn the Basics
The session runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday 28 November 2026. Participants begin with the core skills needed to get comfortable on a windsurfer, including getting on the board, understanding the sail, controlling direction and building confidence with assistance from instructors.
Who It Suits
This course is for people who want to begin windsurfing. Water confidence is required, but previous windsurfing experience is not. All participants require an Australian Sailing Number as part of the registration process.
What Is Included
All equipment and gear are provided for the course. The program is linked to the Australian Sailing Start Windsurfing pathway and participants gain a Start Windsurfing completion certificate.
Cost and Registration
