Try windsurfing at McCrae Yacht Club with a one-day Australian Sailing Start Windsurfing course on Port Phillip. This Saturday morning session is a practical introduction for beginners who want time on the board, coaching support and a clear first step into the sport.
On the Water
The course runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday 5 December 2026. Participants learn the essential skills needed to safely windsurf with assistance, including how the equipment works, how to get moving and how to build control in a supportive environment.
Beginner Friendly
The program is designed for people who wish to begin windsurfing. Participants need to be water confident, but the course does not require previous windsurfing experience. All equipment and gear are supplied by the accredited Discover Sailing Centre.
Course Outcome
This session follows the Australian Sailing Start Windsurfing pathway. Participants who complete the course gain a Start Windsurfing completion certificate and a foundation for further practice or longer courses.
Cost and Registration
The non-member fee is $100, with members receiving 20% off. Participants also require an Australian Sailing Number when registering. Registration closes at 9:00pm on Friday 4 December 2026.
