About the programme
City Community Tennis offers Blind and Low Vision Tennis at Prince Alfred Park Tennis Courts in Surry Hills. Also known as soundball tennis, the adapted game uses a ball that makes a sound as it bounces to help players follow its movement.
The programme is part of the provider's work to help players of all ages and abilities learn tennis, play and connect with other people.
What to expect
Sessions run on Fridays from 11 am to noon. Play uses a junior tennis racquet and an adapted sponge ball, with modified bounce allowances according to sight level. Games can be played as singles or doubles.
Fees and joining
The published standard fee is $42 per session, or $35 for Advantage members. Contact the adaptive tennis coordinator using the details on this listing before attending to discuss suitability, current availability, equipment and booking arrangements.
