The University of Newcastle Tennis Club is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable tennis opportunities for students, staff, alumni, and friends of the University of Newcastle.

Located at University Drive, Callaghan, New South Wales, 2308, the club originally operated from the Callaghan campus with four synthetic grass courts and two asphalt courts. It now primarily uses the Broadmeadow Tennis Courts (NCTC), a modern complex featuring 23 synthetic grass courts and one hard court, all equipped with lights and in excellent condition.

The club's flagship event is the Monday Night Social Competition, held weekly from 8pm to around 9:30pm or 10pm during semesters. This pairs event includes one singles set and one doubles set per player, with divisions for all skill levels from beginners to advanced. Teams are allocated by the committee to ensure balanced matches, and no partner is required. Most divisions are mixed gender. Membership costs just $10 per year, with competition fees at $60 per semester covering court hire, balls, scorecards, prizes, and social events.
