Description

Event Date:

Organiser: Blue Mountains Fitness

The Lithgow Ridgy-Didge Trail Run Festival returns to Hassans Walls Reserve in Lithgow, NSW, on Saturday, 28 March 2026. This premier trail running event offers six challenging distances: 50km Ultra, Marathon, 30km, 22km, 10km, and 5km—all set on scenic single-track off-road trails. Additionally, there is a fun 1.6km Kids Race for children under 12.

The 50km Ultra and Marathon courses traverse the thirteen ridges of Hassans Walls, featuring a mix of dirt roads, 4WD trails, walking paths, and mountain bike single tracks, with significant elevation gain and loss totaling over 2,500 metres. Shorter distances provide less elevation and cover fewer ridges, but all routes showcase stunning lookout points with panoramic views of the Lithgow, Hartley, Megalong, and Kanimbla Valleys.

Notably, the Ridgy-Didge 20km, 30km, Marathon, and 50km races are officially ITRA and UTMB indexed, making this festival an important event for trail runners seeking international recognition.
