Organiser: Maximum Adventure
Join the Max Adventure Race at Enoggera Reservoir, The Gap, on Saturday, 7 March 2026, for an exciting introduction to the dynamic sport of Adventure Racing.
Teams of two will navigate a fast-paced, multi-discipline course combining mountain biking, trail running, and kayaking. Participants will switch between these three core activities multiple times, ensuring a varied and engaging experience throughout the event.
This continuous race lasts between two to six hours, challenging competitors both physically and mentally with no downtime. The course requires basic navigation skills—if you can read a street directory, you will be well-prepared. Checkpoints are accessible via established tracks and paths, though occasionally cross-country routes may offer quicker options.
Whether you’re new to adventure racing or looking for a thrilling challenge, this event offers a perfect blend of endurance, teamwork, and outdoor adventure in a stunning natural setting.

Novice course:
5 to 15K of mountain biking
+ 3 to 5K of trail running
+ 1 to 2K of kayaking
