Organiser: Rockingham Triathlon Club
The Shoalwater Classic Triathlon will be held on Sunday, 1 February 2026 in Shoalwater, Western Australia, organised by the Rockingham Triathlon Club.
This annual event features a Sprint distance triathlon and serves as the Triathlon Western Australia Sprint Championships. It welcomes all participants, with no club membership required.
The swim takes place in the pristine Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. Competitors complete two laps of a 750m course (total 1500m), starting with a beach start and navigating around marked buoys, following Triathlon Australia race rules and safety instructions. Swim caps are provided and mandatory.
The bike course consists of six laps totaling 40 km. Each 6.67 km lap follows the coastline before cutting inland toward Cape Peron and returning via the same route past transition. The course is mostly flat with some technical turns, including two hairpin turnarounds, requiring good bike handling skills.
The run course features multiple 2.5 km laps along a coastal footpath with an out-and-back segment, offering a scenic and flat route.
