Join the Victorian Road Runners for their monthly Tan Time Trial on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Choose from 4km or 8km distances around Melbourne's iconic Tan Track in the Royal Botanic Gardens, starting at 7:30 AM from the Pillars of Wisdom.
This historic 3.85km loop offers a scenic, undulating course beneath magnificent elm trees, with views of the Yarra River, lush gardens, and the city skyline. Runners tackle smooth sealed paths featuring gradual climbs, fast descents, and one challenging hill up Anderson Street—perfect for testing your speed just minutes from Melbourne's CBD. The 4km option completes one lap, while the 8km covers two.
Open to all runners, members and visitors alike. Register on the day with a simple entry form and fee—no advance booking required. Results posted online.
