About this event
Join the **Townsville 10 Miler Run**, a signature event by Townsville Road Runners, on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting and finishing at the Social Sciences Building, James Cook University, Townsville, QLD, Australia.
Challenge yourself on the full **10-mile (16.6 km)** course—two scenic loops winding through the university campus, along Discovery Drive, into nearby suburbs, and featuring stunning riverside paths by the Ross River. Highlights include crossing footbridges, passing Aplins Weir and Gleesons Weir, navigating the iconic Federation Bridge, and tunnels under Riverside Boulevard before returning via Parkinson Road.
For a more accessible option, choose the **2.9-mile (4.66 km)** single-loop course, ideal for newcomers or speed tests, staying primarily on campus.
Both distances offer a rewarding run with strategic aid stations on the longer route—perfect for runners seeking beautiful scenery and a true test of endurance.
