Blue Lake Fun Run
Event location
Description
The Blue Lake Fun Run takes place on Sunday, 30 November 2025 in Mount Gambier, South Australia, offering four race distances: a Half Marathon (21.1 km), 10.4 km, 6.8 km, and 3.2 km.
The Half Marathon course features scenic routes including sections of Mount Gambier’s Rail Trail, the Valley Lakes precinct, and the iconic Blue Lake/Warwar circuit. The 10.4 km race loops twice around Blue Lake, the 6.8 km race completes one lap, and the 3.2 km race runs from the town center up to Blue Lake and back.
Starting adjacent to the Cave Gardens on Bay Road, all courses are fully marked and supported by marshals, winding through the beautiful Lakes Precinct—a dormant volcanic area offering views of Mount Schank and the Centenary Tower. The routes are primarily on bitumen roads with an elevation gain of approximately 305 meters for the Half Marathon.
Organised by the Lakes Rotary Club of Mount Gambier, the event promotes community spirit and supports local projects and charities throughout the South East region. Participants can expect a professionally managed event combining fitness, nature, and community engagement.
