About this event
The Danger Swim Series returns to Point Danger, Torquay, on Saturday 2 January 2027, with racing scheduled to begin at 8am. Hosted by Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club, the event forms part of the Great Victorian Swim Series.
Swimmers compete at Torquay Front Beach in the sheltered waters inside Point Danger, a calm location known locally as Cosy Corner. The protected setting offers a welcoming environment for a range of open-water swimming abilities, from first-time ocean swimmers to experienced competitors.
- Danger Dash: 100m
- Danger 500: 500m
- Danger 1000: 1km
- More Dangerous: 2.5km
- Even More Dangerous: 5km
The shorter distances provide an accessible introduction to ocean swimming, while the 2.5km and 5km courses offer a greater challenge for swimmers building endurance. Course details and further event information are expected to be released closer to race day.
