The iconic Hounslow Classic trail race returns to Blackheath in the Blue Mountains, NSW, from 12 to 14 September 2025. This premier event offers challenging courses that showcase the breathtaking landscapes of the Grose Valley Wilderness.
Starting in the picturesque township of Blackheath—one of the highest villages in the Blue Mountains—runners will tackle two main races: the Hounslow Marathon on Saturday and the Hounslow 17km on Sunday.
The 17km course features a scenic cliff-top trail between Govetts Leap and Evans Lookout, winding through the ancient sandstone walls of the Grand Canyon track. The 42km marathon follows this same route before continuing on a demanding out-and-back segment from Allview Escape to the Pinnacles, passing iconic landmarks such as Perrys Lookdown and the chiselled Lockleys Pylon.
For younger participants, a 1500m Kids’ Race on Saturday provides an ideal introduction to trail running. Designed for children aged 13 and under, the race takes place on dirt tracks and trails around the vibrant Event Village at Allview Escape.
