About this event

The Kieser Great Bayside Swim is an open water swimming event held at Middle Brighton Pier in Brighton, Victoria, on Saturday, 23 January 2027. It offers a range of race distances, including 2.5km, 1.4km, 650m and 300m events, making it suitable for swimmers of different ages and abilities.

The program includes the main open water swims from the pier, along with junior dash events. The 2.5km swim follows a course around the breakwater and marina before finishing on the beach near the yacht club, while the 650m swim starts from a separate location inside the marina. Event timing is staggered through the morning, with registrations opening early and trophy presentations scheduled after the relevant races.

Swimmers receive an event T-shirt and colour-coded swim cap, and finish-line refreshments include water and fruit. The event is a well-established summer open water swim in Brighton, bringing together competitive and recreational swimmers for a bayside race day in a scenic coastal setting.
