Grand Slam Challenge Series #5: Echunga
Contact Details
Description
Organiser: BIKE SA
Echunga is the last of five rides from the Grand Slam Challenge Series. Hosted by BikeSA, you will find five recreational challenge rides throughout the Adelaide Hills, Barossa Valley and Fleurieu Peninsula. You can choose to ride in one, two, three, four or all five of the rides, with each consecutive ride gradually becoming more challenging. Each of the rides combines 2 different loops of between 100km and 200km, all starting and finishing in the one location. For those who are looking for something a little less challenging, you can sign up for the Mini Slam in which you complete only the one loop.
The Grand Slam Challenge Series is perfect for cyclists who want to build their fitness and increase their endurance. It's also a great excuse to get out regularly and to meet up with like-minded people!
The organiser, BikeSA, is a not-for-profit organisation, independent of the government, that promotes all types of cycling and is focused on improving riding conditions in SA.
The Echunga ride is the last in the Grand Slam Challenge Series. It starts at Echunga, which is located 34km east of Adelaide, in the Adelaide hills.
There are two distances available for the Echunga ride. The route is a 100km loop, and you can choose to do either 1 loop (100km) or 2 loops (200km).
