Coffs Harbour’s inaugural Spring Slam brings three days of pickleball competition and community to Sportz Central Indoor Stadium and West Side Tennis Club. The event welcomes local and visiting players for an inclusive program of singles, doubles, junior and hybrid competition.
Three Days of Competition
- Friday 20 November: 60-plus divisions for players rated 3.5 and below, together with men’s and women’s skinny singles across below-3.5 and 3.5-plus divisions.
- Saturday 21 November: men’s and women’s doubles, junior boys and girls divisions, and the evening Spring Slam Team Challenge.
- Sunday 22 November: mixed doubles, junior mixed and hybrid coed competition.
Final start times and venue allocations will be announced closer to the tournament. The Saturday evening team challenge is limited to 32 individual entrants, with balanced teams formed on the night for a social competition featuring prizes and bragging rights.
Inclusive Hybrid Doubles
The hybrid coed division may pair a wheelchair, adaptive-standing or neurodivergent player with a standing player. Team numbers are limited, and the tournament director may review team compositions to support fair and enjoyable competition.
Registration and Eligibility
The entry fee is $40. Registration closes on 14 November 2026 and is managed exclusively through the Unleashed app. Although the tournament is listed as a non-DUPR event, entrants must have a linked DUPR profile, and applicable ratings at the close of registration will be used for skill-based placement.
Players may enter doubles without a partner, but finding a partner remains the participant’s responsibility. Teams with both partners registered receive priority, while unpaired entrants may be waitlisted until their partner completes registration. Early entry is recommended because division capacities are limited.
Competition and Community
The tournament will use current Global Pickleball Federation rules and the Pickleball Australia Participant Code of Behaviour. Divisions may be merged or schedules adjusted when required. Alongside the competition, the weekend will feature medals, cash prizes, raffles, giveaways and a welcoming community atmosphere.
