Description
The Amazons Australia returns for its second edition from 4 to 10 July 2026 as an Adventure Racing World Series all-women’s stage race held in the stunning Cassowary Coast region of Tropical North Queensland.
Teams of two women will undertake a demanding 3-day adventure race, combining trekking, navigation, mountain biking, paddling, and surprise challenges designed to test endurance, teamwork, and strategic decision-making.
Competitors will navigate through checkpoints marked on maps, allowing teams to choose varied routes based on their strengths and tactics, with up to 8 hours of racing each day followed by evenings for rest and recovery.
This event celebrates the resilience and spirit of women adventurers, welcoming participants ranging from seasoned racers to those new to multi-day endurance challenges, all united in a supportive and empowering environment.
