4 Peaks Bright Alpine Climb: Mt Hotham

Description
The 4 Peaks Bright Alpine Climb event on Monday, 3 November 2025, features a challenging trail run up Mt Hotham as the third stage in a four-day series of mountain runs.
Starting from Tavare Park in Harrietville, participants cross the Ovens River before following the scenic Bon Accord Track for approximately 6 km alongside the river. The route then ascends steeply up Bon Accord Spur to the Bon Accord Hut Ruins, continuing with a rigorous climb to meet The Razorback trail. From there, runners tackle an undulating final kilometre to reach the finish line at Dimattina Hut.
Established in 1979, the Bright Alpine Climb—also known as the Four Peaks Climb—was originally created to encourage walkers to explore the stunning alpine scenery around Bright. Over time, runners have joined, adding excitement and competition to the event. Today, walkers and runners participate side by side, embracing the challenge and camaraderie over the four days.
