Great Illawarra Walk

Description
The Great Illawarra Walk is an annual fundraising event held on Saturday, 14 March 2026, featuring a scenic 40km walk from Shellharbour Village to The Headlands Hotel Austinmer in New South Wales.
Participants can choose to complete the full distance or walk a shorter segment according to their comfort level. The walk commences at 7:00 AM from Bean Roasted Espresso Bar, Addison Street, Shellharbour, with various starting points along the route including Wollongong and Bulli, ultimately finishing at Austinmer.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to KidsWish, supporting children with disabilities or illnesses and their families through vital programs, special events, and community initiatives.
Walkers are encouraged to join the post-walk celebration at The Headlands Hotel Austinmer, where refreshments and festivities take place to mark the successful completion of the event.
