Queensland Walks Month Bushland Walk Celebrating Multicultural Australia
Contact Details
Description
Organiser: Government House, Queensland
Join us during Queensland Walks Month, on Thursday 31 August at 9.00am, for a community bushwalk to celebrate Multicultural Australia.
Government House invites you to join us for a community bushwalk around the Fernberg Estate on Thursday 31 August from 9am to 10am (with arrival from 8:45am), as part of Queensland Walks Month.
This event is hosted by Government House in partnership with Her Excellency's patronage organisations, Health and Wellbeing Queensland and Multicultural Australia, and celebrates the cultural diversity of our State and nation.
Participants should have a medium level of fitness, as there are some challenging hills and uneven surfaces, including gravel pathways. Unfortunately, this event is not wheelchair accessible.
Participation is free, with walkers required to register their attendance through this Eventbrite page.
Entry to the Estate is via Gate B, with street parking available on Fernberg Road and surrounds.
The pathway is approximately 1.1km in length and winds its way through the ten hectares of bushland occupying the Estate.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable walking clothes and sturdy shoes, and to bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle.
Unfortunately, pets (with the exception of assistance dogs) are not permitted.
Health and Wellbeing Queensland will kindly provide walkers with fresh fruit and water.
