The Hobart Run The Bridge on Sunday, 15 February 2026, is one of Tasmania's most celebrated running events, attracting thousands of participants across all ages and abilities.
Set in the vibrant capital city of Hobart, the event offers a unique chance to cross the iconic Tasman Bridge—Tasmania's busiest and most iconic infrastructure—during an exclusive lane closure available only to this event each year.
Runners and walkers start at the state's premier sporting venue, Blundstone Arena (Ninja Stadium), providing excellent facilities for warm-up before the race begins.
The scenic course takes participants along Bellerive Bluff, past historic Bellerive Quay with its stunning coastal views and heritage buildings, through the lively Kangaroo Bay precinct, and finishes along the picturesque Hobart Waterfront on Castray Esplanade in Salamanca.
Event options include the 10km run, 5km run, 5km walk, and a 1km dash for children, making it accessible and enjoyable for all fitness levels and ages.
After the race, participants can relax and celebrate with a brunch at one of Salamanca’s charming local cafes, completing a memorable day of community and fitness.
