The Cowes Classic Aquathon is a premier swim and run event held on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at Cowes Pier, Cowes, Victoria. As part of the annual Bass Coast Series, this event offers participants a scenic and challenging course combining ocean swimming and road running.

The race begins with a 500m tide-assisted swim starting from the western side of the Cowes foreshore, circling around the pier. Following the swim, athletes transition at the zone in front of the North Pier Hotel to a 4km run along Thompson Avenue. The run route turns left onto Chapel Street towards Silverleaves, then loops back along the foreshore to finish at the starting point in front of the North Pier Hotel.

Participants can register individually or as relay teams. The event is open to competitors aged 15 and over. All proceeds support local volunteer lifesaving and sporting clubs.

On the same day, children can join the Little Penguin Dash, a fun run designed for younger athletes.
