Description
Join the Rip to River event on Saturday, 3 January 2026, a celebrated annual surf beach run organized by the Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club. The main event is a challenging 10km run along the pristine hard sand stretch from "The Rip" at Point Lonsdale lighthouse to Ocean Grove’s main beach by the Barwon River in Victoria.
In addition to the 10km run, participants can enjoy a 10km walk, a 5km beach run, and a fun 1.4km Ripper Nipper race for younger competitors, offering options for all fitness levels.
This iconic event, held early each summer, draws hundreds of runners and walkers and serves as the Ocean Grove Surf Life Saving Club’s largest fundraiser, supporting their vital mission to maintain beach safety and community programs.
